Taxi Driver 2 To Release Next Year With The Same Cast As Season 1

According to the drama’s broadcaster SBS on June 9, Thursday, hit series “Taxi Driver” (2021) will return for a second season next year.

Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yoo-ram, who starred in the first season of “Taxi Driver,” will return for season two. Due to scheduling conflicts, actor Esom, who was previously a lead in season one of “Taxi Driver,” will not be joining the cast.

“Taxi Driver” is based on Carlos and Lee Jae-jin’s webtoon of the same name. The first season’s plot centred around the character Kin Do-gi, played by Lee, who works as a cab driver and pursues vengeance for those who have been wronged cruelly.

The season 1 of Taxi Driver broadcast last year, from April to May 2021.

The series is said to be based on real-life crimes that occurred in Korea.The first season of “Taxi Driver” was a huge hit, garnering the fourth-highest ratings in SBS history during its time slot, with 16%.

Meanwhile, the second season will be released in the first half of 2023, according to SBS.
