Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 Plot Synopsis
Lee Yeon (played by Lee Dong-Wook) becomes embroiled in an unforeseen circumstance that transports him back to the year 1938. There, he encounters Ryu Hong-Joo (played by Kim So-Yeon) once again. She was previously a guardian spirit of a mountain in the western region, but in 1938, she is the proprietor of the prestigious high-end restaurant Myoyeongak in the capital city of Gyeongseong. When Ryu Hong-Joo initially met Lee Yeon, she was captivated by him, but circumstances prevented them from being together.
Now, as they cross paths once more, she feels a sense of anticipation. Lee Yeon also reunites with his younger brother, Lee Rang.In the meantime, Cheon Mu-Young (played by Ryoo Kyung-Soo), who was once a guardian spirit of a mountain in the eastern region and a former friend of Lee Yeon and Ryu Hong-Joo, becomes hostile towards Lee Yeon due to a particular incident.
