The May issue of AtStyle (@star1) featured actor Song Kang on the cover. Song Kang embodied a different charm in this photoshoot than he did in his drama, absorbing all of the diverse atmospheres with sophisticated expression acting and beautiful poses.
Song Kang plays Lee Si-woo, a candid meteorological agency special advisor who goes straight to love and stands tall as a romance powerhouse with his lovely ‘in-office romance’ in JTBC’s ‘Forecasting Love and Weather.’ He expressed his trust in his acting combo by saying, “I had a strong sense that the chemistry would match well from the first meeting with her,” referring to his collaboration with Park Min-young, who co-starred with him.
Song Kang, who starred with Park Min-young, remarked, “I learned a lot.” In addition to breathing with the other actors, I spent a lot of time thinking about the gestures I needed to make in order to connect with the audience’s feelings.”
“The obvious and pure points are comparable,” he replied when questioned about the similarities between Song Kang and Siwoo in the drama. “I believe the director is the most comparable of the characters I’ve played so far, to the point where even the director claims a sync rate of 100 percent,” he remarked. However, unlike Siwoo, I am not the sort to make a strong case with my supervisor or coworkers. With a smile, he said, “There were scenes that I wanted to witness.”
From Seasons 1 and 2 of Netflix’s ‘Love Alarm,’ which was his first starring part, to ‘Sweet Home,’ Song Kang began to draw the attention of many international admirers by acting in the Netflix series. “It’s not a label that comes easily, but it’s enjoyable and I’m glad,” he added of being dubbed “Netflix’s son.” He also left a heartfelt message, adding, “After ‘Sounds Like It,’ I’ve been working with Netflix on numerous works, so I’ve formed a great intimacy with them.”
Finally, Song Kang responded to the topic of whether any of the many feedbacks received while performing are unforgettable, saying, “All assessments are memorable and foundational,” and “Especially when I observe feedback, it makes me more objective.” He showed that he is still working hard as an actor by saying, “I’m always trying to fuel myself and worry.”
