Bloody Heart is a South Korean television series, also known as Red Single Heart, that stars Lee Joon, Kang Han-na, and Jang Hyuk. It is a fictional historical drama about King Seonjong, who rises to the throne as a result of a rebellion, and Lee Tae, who succeeds him. It’s a gory court romance that emerges as they point their swords at one another’s throats.

Bloody Heart Kdrama Plot Synopsis
The plot follows Lee Tae, who takes a key part in a rebellion against the tyrannical King Sunjong and rises to become the crown prince of Joseon. With the help of Park Gye-Won, Lee Tae’s father deposed the king and established a new kingdom. Lee Tae became the next king after succeeding his father. To attain his aim, Lee Tae feels that any action is justified. He wishes to govern as an absolute monarch, but Park Gye-Won, the First Vice-Premier, opposes this. Even more powerful than the king is Park Gye-Won.
Meanwhile, Lee Tae falls in love with Yoo Jung, the free-spirited daughter of a noble family. Lee Tae is captivated by her and names her his crown princess. However, her entire family becomes entangled in the royal court’s power struggle. As a result, her family finds themselves embroiled in a power battle at the royal court.
