Jung-Shin began his training with FNC Entertainment in 2009 and joined CNBLUE as a bassist in September of that year, replacing Kwon Kwang-jin, who departed the band shortly after their debut. He is not only the band’s bassist but also a rapper and backup vocalist.

He made his acting debut in Seoyoung, My Daughter, a 2012 KBS2 family drama. With a peak audience rating of 47.6%, it was the highest-rated Korean drama of the year. Lee earned positive feedback for his performance and was nominated for multiple “Best New Actor” awards from local organisations.
