In “Bloody Heart,” actors Lee Joon and Kang Han-na portray “Romeo and Juliet in Joseon.” A painful romance between Lee Joon and Kang Han-na, who will play Romeo and Juliet in the Joseon version of the story.

Bloody Heart, a new Monday-Tuesday drama from KBS 2TV (directed by Yoo Young-Eun, written by Park Pil-Joo, and produced by G&G Production), will premiere on May 2 at 9:30 p.m. (KST). It is a fictional historical drama about King Seonjong, who rises to the throne as a result of a rebellion, and Lee Tae, who succeeds him. It’s a gory court romance that emerges as they point their swords at one another’s throats, Yoo-Jeong (Kang Han-na) becoming a great battle in order to survive, and Yoo-Jeong (Kang Han-na) becoming static.

Lee Joon plays Lee Tae, a Joseon king who dreams of exterminating anti-government officials by strengthening his royal authority, while Kang Han Na plays Yoo Jung, a woman who is too free to be bound by traditional Confucian principles. Lee Tae and Yoo Jung met each other when they were at their most innocent, and they continued to fall in love with each other.

The amicable environment captures the eye in the stills released on April 12 as darkness descends on the two of them for a brief moment. Lee Jun (Lee Tae) smiles and stares at Kang Han Na (Yoo Jung) with a slightly lifted corner of his mouth and emotion-filled eyes, warming the hearts of the audience.
