Lee Hyun-woo is a South Korean actor and singer who was born on March 23, 1993, and is 29 years old. He started acting when he was nine years old and later made appearances in the television programs Queen Seondeok and The Return of Iljimae (2009).
Lee also appeared in To the Beautiful You and Master of Study. Lee rose to fame for his performances as a North Korean spy in the 2013 movie Secretly, Greatly and as a brilliant hacker in the 2014 movie The Con Artists. His next two leading roles were in Moorim School (2016) and The Liar and His Lover (2017).
He began acting professionally in 2005 and has recently made a comeback to television after a five-year absence (he took a break in 2017). He has served as an active-duty soldier, fulfilling his requirement to serve in the military.
In 2022, he plays Rio in the Korean remake (Money Heist Korea Joint Economic Area) of the popular Netflix Spanish crime thriller “Money Heist.” Rio robbery gang’s youngest member has brilliant hacking skills and joined with a light heart rather than a specific goal or ambition. Rio may appear carefree when acting like a robber—smiling brightly at money or acting awkward around guns, but his innocence, which is occasionally exposed, makes others grin even in grave circumstances.
However, Hyun-woo Lee’s seasoned acting abilities truly show in the scene where the mystery around a beaming smile is revealed.
